An Interactive 5-Day Training Course

The Strategic Human Capital Leader

Turning Workforce Strategy into Business Value

NASBA

Course Introduction

Human capital strategy is the executive discipline of deciding what workforce capability a business strategy requires, how that capability will be sourced, what it will cost and what return it will generate. It is a leadership decision rather than a human resources process, and it is owned by the executive team rather than delegated to the people function. Most executives accept that people drive performance. Very few can say what their workforce is worth, what capability the strategy will require, what the gap will cost to close, or what return the last investment in talent actually produced. The result is a category of spending that is large, strategically decisive and almost entirely unexamined at the top table.

This Strategic Human Capital Leader training course is written for the leader who owns the outcome rather than the process. It equips senior executives and directors to interrogate workforce strategy with the same rigour they apply to capital projects: to read the capability implications of a business plan, to build and challenge a business case for people investment, and to exercise credible oversight of the human capital agenda. Delegates will translate a corporate strategy into a capability plan, quantify a workforce investment decision, and present a human capital strategy to a simulated executive committee. This is a leadership and decision-making programme, not a human resources technical course.
