Accra is the administrative, economic, and educational centre of Ghana and has good shopping, excellent nightlife and definitely the best selection of eating options in Ghana. The city's tendrils reach out towards the beach, the center, and the west, each one a different Ghanaian experience. Ghana's beating heart includes the head offices of all the large banks and trading firms, the insurance agencies, the electricity corporation, and the general post office. The capital's hot streets are perfumed by the large open markets to which most of the capital’s food supply is obtained.
