An Interactive 5-Day Training Course

Strategic Planning, Project Management Reviews, Project Leadership and Communications

NASBA

Course Introduction

This training course develops the strategic, technical and leadership capabilities required to translate organisational priorities into successful project outcomes. Projects increasingly serve as vehicles for implementing strategy, improving performance and delivering organisational change. Project professionals therefore need more than traditional planning and control skills: they must understand the wider business context, make sound decisions, influence stakeholders and create the conditions in which project teams can perform successfully.

This highly practical training course integrates strategic planning, business performance, project governance, project management and leadership into one coherent approach. Participants progress from understanding organisational strategy and identifying improvement opportunities through project initiation, planning, execution, review and closure. Alongside these disciplines, they develop emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership presence, team development and mentoring capabilities. This creates project leaders who can manage delivery while maintaining focus on business value, people, relationships and sustainable organisational results.

This training course will highlight:

  • Connecting organisational strategy with project priorities
  • Integrating project management and leadership capabilities
  • Leading business improvement and organisational change
  • Strengthening project governance, planning and control
  • Developing high-performing teams and stakeholder relationships

The positioning reflects both source programmes: the first explicitly connects projects with mission, vision and strategy and covers BPR, governance, reviews and control, while the second focuses on the shift from project manager to project leader, decision-making, emotional intelligence and team leadership.

Objectives

At the end of this training course, participants will learn to:

  • Align projects with organisational strategy and performance
  • Lead projects through initiation, planning and delivery

Training Methodology

This training course will use a highly interactive and participative approach combining facilitator presentations, structured discussions, practical exercises, project scenarios and case-based activities. Participants will integrate strategic planning, project management and leadership concepts throughout the programme, applying them to project decisions, stakeholder challenges, delivery issues and team situations. The methodology will encourage practical application, reflection and transfer of learning to participants' own project environments.

Both existing programmes specify interactive adult-learning approaches, with the strategy/project review course using case studies, videos, discussions and practical project simulations and the leadership course emphasising interactive and participative learning.
